In the last few months, we've all had to learn new ways to connect with people.

Whether that's hosting virtual 'pub' quizzes, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and arranging general catch ups with friends and families, we've found new ways to stay connected.

For those isolated in our communities, the impact of recent events has heightened the loneliness felt by many. People in our communities will continue to need our support so it's up to all of us to play our part.

Making a difference in our communities

Santander staff are making voluntary calls to isolated people, just for a chat, as well as supporting a range of other community activities such as, leaflet drops.

Together with Ant and Dec, and our charity partners, we're calling on colleagues to volunteer their time to make a difference to people in our communities - and, for every person that participates, the Santander Foundation will donate £1,000, to be split equally between Alzheimer's Society and Age UK, up to a maximum of £1 million in total.
